One person was killed and several others were injured in a collision involving a taxi and a bus on Hendrik Potgieter Road and Gordon Road on the West Rand on Monday.
According to ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw, “All the injured people were from the taxi.
“Two people sustained critical injuries – one of these patients were airlifted to hospital for further treatment.
“At least 12 other patients sustained moderate to serious injuries. At least five patients were treated and transported by ER24 to various hospital including Flora Clinic and Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for further treatment.”
The cause of the collision still remains unknown, however local authorities were on scene.
