Taxi rolls injuring 15

'Some of the occupants had been ejected from the vehicle when it rolled'.

A total of 15 people were injured after a taxi rolled multiple times on the N12 near Potchefstroom on Wednesday morning.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring “When paramedics along with fire services arrived on scene, they found the taxi lying on its side on the side of the road. The injured occupants from the taxi lay spread across the scene.

“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that 15 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Some of the occupants had been ejected from the vehicle when it rolled.

“Metro services closed off the roads while paramedics treated the patients for their injuries. Once treated, the patients were transported to Potchefstroom Hospital for further observations.

“The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
