Four injured in three-car collision

'It is understood that smoke from a nearby veld fire had been a factor in the collision' — ER24.

Three vehicles collided on the R500 in Carletonville on Tuesday injuring four people, two of which were children ER24 said.

When paramedics arrived on scene, they found the three vehicles in the middle of the road and all of the occupants walking around the scene.

The three vehicles involved in the collision were a light motor vehicle, a bakkie and a sports utility vehicle (SUV).

It was found by the paramedics that four people from the bakkie had sustained minor injuries; a man, a woman who was four months along in her pregnancy, a three-year-old girl and an 18 month old boy.

These patients were subsequently taken to Carletonville Hospital for further observations.
