Traffic police officer involved in collision

A Randfontein traffic police officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision on the corner of Dodge Road and the R559 on Sunday.

According to Tessa Viljoen, Medic at Quick Response Services, “The traffic police officer collided with a Ford Ranger.

She continued “The owner of the Ford Ranger was arrested on scene for drunk driving. Both drivers sustained no serious injuries; the traffic officer had a slight bruise on the arm.”

Viljoen stated further “Police left with the driver to draw blood at the police station to confirm the driver’s blood alcohol level.”
