West Rand accident leaves eight injured

'Detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative'.

Eight people were injured, three seriously so after a car and taxi collided at the intersection of Commissioner and Market Street in Krugersdorp on the West Rand on Saturday.

Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha “Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frame of the taxi, the other vehicle reportedly left the scene.

“After medics treated the injured at the scene they transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required.”
