Prepare for Zuma’s answers to parliament

This afternoon many interested residents will tune in to see what will happen in the National Assembly Chamber regarding President Jacob Zuma.

Zuma is set to appear to answer questions set by Members of Parliament this afternoon at 3 pm.

The sitting will be broadcast live on DSTV Channel 408, the Parliament’s website (www.parliament.gov.za) and the Parliament’s Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/ParliamentofRSA) and updates will be carried on the official facebook and twitter accounts.

Zuma will be probed by Members of Parliament, who will expect answers on questions including:

  • Has there been any progress in implementing the Back-to-Basics approach to local government?
  • What is his position regarding the perception that at the centre of all the problems experienced by the criminal justice institutions is the desire to protect him from accounting for the charges that were controversially dropped by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA)?
  • Why did he not reference the Independent System Market Operator Bill (B 9-2012) to restructure Eskom and break its monopoly on the generation, procurement and distribution of electricity, in #Sona2015?
  • If the Bill (B 9-2012) is not passed, how will the gap be filled left by it, what alternative plan will be implemented?

The Record will be tweeting live and updating its readers on facebook and twitter. Join in the conversation by mentioning @RdptRecord on twitter or liking our facebook page. We’ll be using the hashtag #ZumaParly to update you.
