R’fontein band makes name

New band makes waves in the South African music scene.

Randfontein has produced South Africa’s newest addition to the rock ‘n roll scene, Scarlotte Will.

The band was formed only a year ago and already has played at several gigs across the country. They have played in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Potchefstroom, Durban, Jeffrey’s Bay and Port Elizabeth.

Within its first year Scarlotte Will has played alongside Gangs of Ballet, Tidal Waves, Shadowclub and many more. They have played with the cream of the crop of the South African alternative scene.

The band consists of Tristan Dos Santos on vocals, guitar and keyboard, Hugene Koekemoer on bass and backing vocals, Brendon Bezuidenhout on lead guitar, keyboard and backing vocals, and Xan Swart on drums.

Tristan and Hugene both grew up in Randfontein. Tristan is from Helikon Park and Hugene has lived all over Randfontein but now lives in Greenhills.

On 26 February they will be sharing a stage with aKing in Pretoria at Arcade Empire, which is an impressive feat for such a new band and shows they will continue to soar to fame.
