Relax: No water interruption for R’fontein

Rumours silenced about Randfontein and Westonaria water cut.

A 25-hour water interruption has been scheduled for large parts of Johannesburg.

The interruption is to take place over the weekend on Saturday 7 February at 2pm to Sunday 8 February 3pm. The reason for the cut is so that maintenance can be carried out at the Eikenhof pump station.

It was originally scheduled for January but was later postponed to February and now residents are on the eve of the water cut.

According to the City of Johannesburg Service Alert, Randfontein and Westonaria will not be affected and will be hosing gardens and taking leisurely baths while Roodepoort and beyond will be experiencing a 25-hour water cut.
