Fresh out of school model going places

Fresh out of school pupil from Hoërskool Riebeeckrand, Elizma Green, 18, is taking the model industry by storm.

Elizma was born in Krugersdorp but spent most of her life in Randfontein having moved here when she was in grade 2. She first started modelling in 2009 through Oxygen Models where she won many trophies and crowns through-out her modelling career.

Her big breakthrough came when she was approached by Mitasha Haripal who urged her to go to a casting for models for the Fifty Shades Of East fashion experience hosted at Monty Casino.

“I was so excited when they called me back and told me that I was chosen as a model for the show,” Elizma said.

This festival held last month celebrated the many delights of India and featured the best and most popular Indian live bands, musicians, comedians, fashion designers and dancers.

The four designers that showcased their work at the fashion show were Paaneri, Zuri Courture, Zyda Couture and Remsons Trading and Elizma got the chance to wear their stylish creations at the fashion show.

“On the day of the show the models all had their hair and make-up done first and then we were given our outfits to wear. My head was spinning with all the designers wanting different things from us. I have to admit that I would not have been able to do any of this if it wasn’t for my wonderful supportive parents.” Elizma said.

This young woman knows what she wants and is determined to take her modelling career as far as she possibly can and lives by the motto that there is no such thing as failure, just results.

She also believes that it’s better to take one day at a time.

“My role model is Cara Delevigne, English fashion model, actress and singer and my dream is to one day travel the world through modelling and maybe one day joining Boss Models.” Elizma added.
