Day Care spoiled days before Xmas

St Anthony's Catholic Church reaches out to local day care centre.

A few Saints from St Anthony’s Catholic Church opened up their hearts just days before Christmas by giving away hampers to Rainbow Day Care Centre.

On their arrival members of the Church were treated to a nativity concert by the children.

After the nativity play, Father Christmas appeared for a visit and handed out Christmas gifts to the little ones. These gifts were in the form of plush toys and party packs. In addition to these, children were also given essential toiletries.

The gifts that were given were all paid from proceeds that was specifically allocated to charity from the annual Randfontein Portuguese Festival.

After the children received their gifts, they proceeded outside to play on the jumping castle that was sponsored by the church. The outside fun included one-on-one face painting by the members of the church in a bid to also get to know some of the children.

“The smiles on their faces was truly priceless. It was a beautiful day for the kids. Other sponsors were also present on the day so the kids ended up having a fantastic day and spoiled rotten as they so deserve,” Sandra Nascimento of the church said.

She continues to say that the help was so warmly welcomed by Tatum Solomons who is in charge at the day care.

“We were truly happy to sponsor this organisation,” said Nascimento.
