Pom-pom competition at 2015 Randfontein Show already on everyone's lips.
Bragging rights will be at stake again during next year’s Randfontein Show as a number of pom-pom teams will battle it out at the Greenhills Stadium.
“In less than four months, on Thursday 5 March the A-Field at the Greenhills Stadium the vibe at the 2015 Randfontein Show is going to be palpable,” Joy Hamann, spokesperson for Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) confirmed.
According to Marcelle Mans, Show Coordinator, “The annual Randfontein Show Cheerleading and Pom-Pom Competition remains one of the most popular events at the Show and teams already have started training.
“This week the 2014/2013/2012 champions, Hoërskool Jan Viljoen (Jannas) confirmed their participation. Other confirmed participants include rivals Hoërskool Riebeeckrand (Rierand), Randfontein High School (RHS) and Hoërskool Linden. We are waiting for two other Johannesburg schools to confirm.
“This event shows what incredible team spirit the schools have, and the cheering and war cries in the main entertainment marquee always are deafening,” Marcelle said. Organisers invite everyone to come and witness one of the most spectacular competitions the Randfontein Show ever has held.
