Electrical storms responsible for further power cuts

Spokesperson for the Executive Mayor’s office, Lucky Chiya has responded to complaints regarding further power outages specifically in Greenhills.
According to Lucky Chiya, he is, “unaware of ongoing power outages in the Greenhills area,” but he continues to say that, “the issue might be an individual problem.”
He also alludes to people letting the municipality know should they encounter any further problems with electricity power cuts.
Additionally, he states that “there was a destructive electrical storm in Randfontein that affected certain areas and that could possibly be what people are experiencing now if it is not an individual problem.”
He continues to say that,”trees fell on municipal electricity lines however, technicians are currently working on the issue and have said that they restored electricity to affected areas.”
