What happened to Lucky?

25-year-old disappears following house robbery and angry neighbour being upset.

Lucky Titus, 25, disappeared from his Mohlakeng home on Thursday 30 October.

Residents in the area have their suspicions and believe that Titus’ neighbour had kidnapped him. Titus’ mother, Cynthia Titus claims the neighbour took her son as he suspects Titus to be involved in a burglary at his house.

It is alleged that the neighbour kidnapped Titus along with three other men.

However, the three men have returned, but Titus has not been seen since.

Titus’ mother alleges that her son was taken to Toekomsrus. She claims that he was tortured, as the other men told her that they had seen him at the same place they were tortured and interrogated.

Titus’ mother is convinced her son is dead after a search party found his bloodied hat and jacket in an open space in Toekomsrus. The enraged community subsequently turned on the suspected kidnapper (the neighbour). They damaged his house as well as his bakkie that was parked in the driveway of his house.

Colonel Marius Smith of the Randfontein Police has confirmed Titus’ disappearance.
