Help find deaf KC

Lost and deaf boxer can't respond to owner's cry to come home.

After a life of moving home, avoiding being put down and then going deaf, KC, an 18-year-old boxer has wandered away from her home and cannot find her way back.

KC is a tan boxer with a white chest and white ‘socks’. She left home at around 6am on 17 October when the owner’s brother-in-law pulled out his car to go to work. The incident took place in the Randfontein area.

His wife only realised that KC was missing on the Sunday and notified Boxer Rescue South Africa, the SPCA and Claws to help them find KC.

Boxer Rescue South Africa has posted the information they have about KC on their facebook page and will update the post as soon as they get any further information.

What makes this case unique and equally difficult is that KC is deaf and cannot respond when her name is called. In addition she is old and cannot fend for herself as easily as a younger dog. It is also unknown as to whether KC is wearing a collar.

When the herald spoke to KC’s owner she said KC has had a “hard life” and she hopes to find her beloved pet before she falls into the clutches of a person with ill will. She has had KC since she was eight weeks old and KC in turn has been with her owner for 18 years.

Be on the lookout for KC in the general Randfontein area and email boxerrescuesouthafrica@gmail.com if KC wanders by your home, business, or school.
