I have been living in Randfontein for most of my life and recently it has become a true nightmare to stay in Greenhills.
With so much pollution we as residents must run from our town to breathe.
Firstly, the smell of sewage in Greenhills is unbearable. Every day when we wake up this awful smell surrounds us and I cannot understand why the Randfontein Local Municipality is not doing something to take care of this problem.
If the sewage smell is not enough, we have to face veld fires as well. This makes the air in Greenhills almost impossible to breathe in and I cannot bear it anymore.
Over the weekend my family and I drove to Key West shopping centre just to escape the environment we have to live in day in and day out.
I want to urge the Randfontein Local Municipality to investigate these problems and deal with it. After all, it is your job.
If something is not done soon, I will have to move, I cannot expose my family to this kind of torture and I am sure there is a lot of residents that feel the same.
