The Tiger’s SA title fight postponed

SA title fight for Nathi 'The Tiger' Ximba' rescheduled to the end of November.

Local iron fist Nathi The Tiger Ximba has to wait another two months for a shot at the WKF South African Lightweight K-1 title.

This after the fight with Lucky Mokate from Cape Town scheduled to take place on 30 August was postponed to the end of November.

According to Ximba’s coach and manager, Mark Hey from Hey Sports International, both he and Ximba are disappointed that his fight has been postponed.

Hey explains that the postponement is due to the sponsorship agency having failed to produce the arranged sponsorship for this match-up.

“As with any professional fight, we started to prepare for the fight one month in advance. Ximba was fit and in excellent condition, but four days before fight night we were informed that the fight has been postponed,” says Hey.

Hey added that Ximba, however, will remain dedicated and will continue to train during the months leading up to the bout.

“We anticipate that Ximba still will face Lucky, therefore, we will use all the resources Fitstop Gym made available to us in order to be ready for fight night,” says Hey.
