Another delivery truck stolen at gunpoint

'Several suspects were involved' — police.

Police miraculously recovered a stolen delivery vehicle after several suspects had held the driver at gunpoint at a liquor store.

According to Randfontein Police spokesperson Appel Ernst, “The driver of the delivery vehicle was boxed in by two vehicles; a white Nissan bakkie and a red VW Golf.

“The information we have thus far shows that both the cars had four occupants each and closed in on the victim.

“They then pointed a firearm at him, forced the driver out of the delivery vehicle and later tied him up,” says Ernst. She adds that the man was robbed of his personal belongings and that the suspects subsequently drove off with his vehicle, leaving him behind.

Fortunately he did not sustain any injuries and later his vehicle was found abandoned.

Anyone who might have witnessed the incident is urged to contact the police on 011 213 9000.
