The circus is coming to town

McLaren Circus in town from 8 to 10 August.

After two years Randfontein’s locals again will be wowed by McLaren International Circus.

Said to be their biggest and strongest season ever, the circus with all its crazy acts and amazing performing animals will be at the corner of Malan and Tambotie Roads from 8 to 10 August as part of their 2014 Gauteng tour. (See show days and times far below.)

McLaren Circus was found by David Dallas McLaren and built upon the nostalgic memories of his childhood dream to reintroduce the magical culture and variety of a traditional big-top circus. The circus eventually was launched in a hired white church tent at the Blue Route Mall in Tokai on 24 March 2005.

From humble beginnings in 2005 it is said to have become the biggest travelling circus in South Africa based on its size, variety of acts and biggest selection of animals.

The current show features Mr Tyler on the heart stopping single trapeze; direct from the Australia Mr Wakka Brophy and his wild wild west act and Rola Rola; amazing acrobatics from Kenya and Zimbabwe by the Velocity Boys; from Cape Town on her rope act the lovely Miss Karen; the most amazing balancing act you have ever seen by the legendary Miss Fransessca; the amazing juggling skills of New Zealand’s Jansen Grant; the death-defying wheel of death by the dare devil Jansen; Fire and Fire Limbo acts as well as their resident clown little Alick who will have you in stitches with laughter.

Not forgetting their amazing performing animals such as a mixed caged act with Mr David McLaren’s rare felines consisting of rare white lions, African lionesses, Bengal tigers and the rare white Bengal tiger. Other animal acts include their perky poodles, Burmese pythons, and Arabian camels, Chloe our African alligator, miniature horses and ponies.
