Suspect wanted following business robbery

"We will not rest until he is found."

Randfontein police have launched a massive manhunt for a suspect after footage of a business robbery has surfaced.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Appel Ernst “The man was captured on CCTV footage after he broke into a local business premises in Greenhills and fled with valuable goods. This happened sometime in August 2012.

“He has since been on the run however we will not rest until he is found. The suspect broke the business’s front door to gain entrance to the shop. He then took goods from the shop and immediately fled from the scene.

“Fortunately, the footage was recorded during the incident and this provided the investigating officer with a photo identification of the suspect,” says Ernst.

She urges that anyone who might have any information with regards to the incident to contact investigating officer into the scene Lieutenant Colonel Gert Kruger on 011 278 8100,
