Couple escape house robbery unharmed

Three men had barged into their property heavily armed while the couple was asleep.

A 31-year-old man and wife his are lucky to have escaped unharmed after three heavily armed men barged into their house in Loumarina and tied them up with ropes.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Appel Ernst, the man and his wife were sleeping when the incident occured.

“The couple was sleeping when they were woken up by three suspects who were heavily armed.

“After tying up the couple, the men threatened them at gunpoint and requested that they hand over money.

“The couple did not have any money on them and the trio went on to ransack the house, taking off with assorted electronic equipment,” says Ernst.

She adds that the suspects fled from the scene in a Hyundai getaway vehicle with registration number CW 39 CT GP.
