RPA hosts another successful networking function

More than 50 people braved the cold and attended the event to promote their businesses and network with other local business owners.

The Randfontein Publicity Association (RPA) hosted another one of its successful monthly business networking function which saw approximately 60 people brave the cold to attend the function.

This was yesterday (19 June) at the Randfontein Rugby Club at 7pm.

RPA publicity officer Joy Harmann says that the purpose of the event was to have the local business community come together to promote their business as well as network with other business owners.

This was also to welcome new members.

According to ABSA branch manager Hester Mouton who is also a new member, the importance of the networking functions is to get to know other local business owners.

“It is just so important to know the local business in Randfontein and know where to go should you need a certain product.

“Not only does this increase networking, it also improves people’s businesses as well.

“Irrespective of how small your business is, just know that you are making a difference.

“If you give one person a job, its one less person off the street or many people you feed,” says the woman

She adds that local business owners should support and buy each others products.

According to Harmann, the event wouldn’t have been the success it was had it not been for the contribution from their members.

“We are thankful to Remax and the Randfontein Rugby Club for the sponsors.

“Without members’ input and sponsorships we would not be able to host these important functions all the time and judging by the attendance, RPA members certainly find value in networking and we had some positive feedback from several people as well,” says Harmann.
