Teachers at Randfontein Primary School have put a twist to the events of Youth Day when they decided to swap their normal teachers’ clothes for school uniform.
Youth Day is celebrated officially on 16 June, but the school celebrated it on 13 June.
According to the school’s principal Greg Boatard, this was an uncomfortable yet fun activity.
“We just wanted to do things differently.
“We wanted to have our pupils dress up in their casual clothes while we wore school uniforms.
“Although the clothes were tight and somewhat uncomfortable, it certainly was worth it.
“I’m sure the pupils enjoyed every minute of it. It’s not every day that we swop roles,” says Boatard jokingly.
