Greenhills has its very own published author

Walter Ramoshaba is an optometrist by profession and says that he hopes his published book will inspire people to find their true purpose in life.

Greenhills resident Walter Ramoshaba has just published his first book titled Crossing the River.

According to him, his book is an inspirational thriller and speaks about the rise and fall of a young black South African man living in a post-apartheid South Africa and the choices he makes which land him in prison.

The character Marcus Mthembu, is incarcerated for forcefully taking over people’s property under the notion that white people stole from his forefathers when they first settled in Africa.

The book also speaks about the struggle of the mind, body and soul.

“I started writing this book in 2006 and I finished it in 2009 but I never took it seriously until I realized that I have a passion for writing.

“I just really wanted to inspire people to find their purpose in life and this book was one way I could do this,” says Ramoshaba, who is also a motivational speaker.

Ramoshaba is currently working on his second book titled the Grain of truth.
