A man has been arrested for the brutal murder 20-year-old Toekomsrus resident.
The arrest comes after the deceased was discovered at a petrol station in the area where he is believed to have collapsed following the incident.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Appel Ernst, police officers were called out to a scene and upon arrival, the deceased’s body was found lying in a pool of blood.
“Police officers at the scene carried out investigations which indicated that the man was stabbed to death.
“They were informed that he had walked for sometime before his arrival at the petrol station where he collapsed.
She adds that further investigations led to the suspect being traced and arrested a week after the incident
“Despite the fact that the man has already appeared in court, the matter is still under investigation.
“Therefore, anyone who might have any information that might assist with the case can contact investigating officer Thabiso Duiker on 011 278 8100.
