Residents of Westonaria and its surrounds are invited to participate and have a say in the draft of the annual budget for the 2014/2015 financial year.
According to Westonaria Local Municipality spokesman Kgabane Madiehe, the budget, as the planning tool for the Municipality, requires inputs from the community to ensure that they participate in the development of local infrastructure.
“We call upon residents to put their views forward when it comes to the budget so we can take their concerns into account during the planning phase.
“Once this has been done, the council will consider all comments made before approving the budget on 29 May,” says Kgabane.
He adds that residents should direct their input to the Westonaria Municipal Manager Thabo Ndlovu at budget@westonaria.gov.za.
