Skating competition announced

Skaters within the West Rand and other parts of Gauteng are expected to gather at the event to showcase their talents.

Pan African Skating Consultants will be hosting the Skaters Jam competion at the Greenhills stadium on 29 April at 12pm.

The skate jam competition was initially scheduled to take place at the Greenhills Stadium during the Randfontein Show which took place from 26 February to 1 March, however, according to founder of the company Kgosi Marite, this could not be done due to the rainy weather on the day of the competition.

“Owing to weather constraints we could not go through competitions as planned.

‘However, this will not hamper our plans and we will be having another skating competion as announced and a lot more is still in the pipelines for the community of skaters within the West Rand and all those who just enjoy watching people skate,” says Marite.

He adds that anyone, regardless of their skill level can enter the competition as there will be different categories for everyone from beginners to experts.

The skate park was one of the many attractions at the Randfontein show and had many people glued to the entertainment.

Entry to the event is free.
