W/aria police officer dies in tragic accident
He tried to overtake another vehicle traveling in the same direction and subsequently smashed into it.
The Westonaria SAPS have suffered the loss of one of their police in a tragic car accident which claimed his life on 1 December on the R28.
It is understood that at the time of the accident, Constable Sudwell Nomandla was traveling towards Westonaria when he tried to overtake another vehicle travelling in the same direction and subsequently smashed into it.
He was declared dead at the scene while the other motorists came out alive and was transported to the nearest hospital.
According to Westonaria SAPS spokesperson Constable Thembi Masango, Nomandla was a good man and a great officer.
“We are all saddened by his sudden death.
“We still cannot believe that he is gone. Reality has not kicked in yet,” says Masango.
“We will remember him for the person that he was and everything he stood for.
“He was a great man and an amazing colleague.”
