Road rage incident leaves one injured

This led to the suspect in question forcing the other motorist out of his car.

A road rage incident between two motorists almost turned deadly when one of them was was severly assaulted and shot at.

This was on 21 October in at the Mohlakeng hostel.

Police officers were called out to the scene and upon arrival, a 30-year-old man was found to have sustained serious injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital where he was treated.

It is understood that the two motorists were at loggerheads in the middle of the street and that is when a brief but intense altercation broke out.

This led to the suspect in question forcing the other motorist out of his car and dragging him to the hostel dwellings.

There, he battered him with fists and drew out his firearm and fired two shots in his direction.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, the police have launched a manhunt for the suspect and will appreciate any information that might assist to locate him.
