Man dies after barfight: Ambulance shows up after three hours

A man has been beaten to death outside a local pub in Westonaria.

Update: 10 October: An ambulance took over three hours to show up to the scene where a man was beaten unconcious outside a popular pub in Westonaria.

This according to Hugo Maré, the owner of the popular local hangout, Shooters.

According to Maré, no-one is quite sure what happened at this stage.

“The man, who is known to me and a family friend, was intoxitated and making trouble at my pub,” says Maré.

“Someone did slap him at one point, but he was not assaulted as far as I know.

“He was chases out of the pub.”

Maré says that as far as he knows, the man then went to another local pub where he continued to make trouble until he was also chased away.

“He came back here later and he continued making trouble.

“At one point he received another slap from someone, but then he was once again chased out.

“I do not know what exactly happened outside, but one of my patrons discovered him lying outside and saw that he was seriously injured.

“EPR Security, the police, and an ambulance were called and the person cared for the injured man all the while while waiting.”

Maré says both EPR security and the police showed up after a short while, but that the ambulance only showed up three hours later.

According to a police report, the man died shortly after arriving at hospital.

Could this be due to the slow response of the ambulance?
