14-Year old girl raped

A 14-year old girl was attacked and raped by two men in an open veld in Brandvlei.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, the girl was on her way to school.

“According to the victim’s sister, she does not normally walk to school, but she happened to miss the bus on this morning,” says Ernst.

“She was apparently overpowered and raped by both men.”

The traumatised victim was rushed to a local clinic for medical attention.

Ernst says that the men are still at large and the SAPS is urging witnesses to contact them immediately.
