Join the SPCA Dog Walk
Enter the annual SPCA Dog Walk and raise awareness as well as funds for the SPCA.
The Randfontein Annual Dog Walk is scheduled to take place on 6 October and the organisers of this event urge dog owners in the community to enter the event.
Registration is essential and in order for the walk to start at the stated time it would be appreciated if owners could register their dogs in the weeks prior to the event in order to save time.
The walk will start at the Randfontein SPCA’s premises at approximately 8am.
Registration for each dog is R25 and the fees can be paid at the Randfontein or Westonaria SPCA’s offices from Monday to Friday during office hours.
Dog owners can also register on Saturdays between 8am and 11am.
“During previous walks, the dogs and walkers have enjoyed the fun day and have gone home satisfied and happy, knowing that the walk is for a good cause and was well worth the effort of getting up and out early on a Sunday morning,” says chairperson for Randfontein/ Westonaria SPCA, Lucy Phillips.
“Your fees and donations will benefit many of the unfortunate stray, neglected and unwanted animals that pass our way.”
Rest stops and water points for the walkers and dogs will be provided.
Refreshments will be on sale during the day.
