“After receiving the calf I had it slaughtered and cut into sizeable portions. This allowed me to package it and have it distributed to those in need and ensure that I do my part in helping out.

“It may not be much, but this is the best that I can do at this point, considering my soup kitchen has become non-operational,” she said and added that she has always been passionate about helping people.

She recently became homeless after her house was demolished by a mining company during an eviction process.
Not only was she left without a roof over her head after the eviction but it left her in a position where she cannot help in feeding her community anymore like she used to.

She has since moved to her sister’s place in Randgate where she and her husband and children are currently staying.
