IPA West Rand hosts bowling fundraiser
Approximately 30 people including various IPA members, their families, and friends had a blast during the event.
The International Police Association (IPA) West Rand region came together at the Randfontein Bowling Club for a fundraising event on Saturday, March 18.

Secretary and editor of the IPA West Rand Natasha Calitz said they decided to host a bowling fundraiser because it’s a sport that the old, young, and ‘more elderly’ can partake in.

Approximately 30 people including various IPA members, their families, and friends had a blast during the event.
The main activity for the association was the bowls and afterward, a lovely social braai was enjoyed. There was also a raffle to assist with the fundraising.
“IPA West Rand friends Oubaas and Tessa Joubert joined us with their guitars. Oubaas is a member of the well-known Hennie de Bruyn’s Kitaarkêrels and they treated us to a day of their wonderful music and sing-along.”
The following prizes were awarded:
• Best Player of the Day – Fiona van der Hoff
• Most Enthusiastic Player of the Day – Susan De Bruin
• Raffle winner – Martie Judeel
• First place (bowling) – Team Benecke (Lucas Benecke, Ina Benecke, Lukas Jnr Benecke, and Leanie Benecke)
• Second place (bowling) – Team Jan (Jan Judeel, Martie Judeel, Kallie Calitz, and Louis Lottering)
• Third place (bowling) – Team Gary (Gary Vickers, Fiona van der Hoff, Nathan Claassen, and Kobus Ball)
Natasha said that it was a very successful day and that everyone had a great time.
