Locals strut their stuff in Toekies pageant

A Mr and Miss Toekomsrus event was held recently in effort to celebrate local talent in the modelling space.

Pageant coach Nandipha Ferguson hosted a successful Mr and Miss Toekomsrus show to celebrate local modelling talent at the Disability Centre in Toekomsrus.

Dieketseng Chooe is Miss Toekomsrus Queen for 2022 while the crown of Mr Toekomsrus King went to Vusi Tlale. The Little Miss Toekomsrus 2022 title now belongs to Bronwyn Ebersohn while Kefilwe Phuku is announced First Teen Toekomsrus for 2022.

“More pageants of this kind are to come,” Ferguson said, who added the show was packed to the rafters with residents eager to witness and celebrate local modelling talent.

“These are but just a few of our contestants who came out on top and we are also extremely proud of them. We also want to thank parents who assisted entering their children in the competition,” said Ferguson.

According to Ferguson, she has big plans for young up-and-coming models.

“I am appealing to businesses people in and around Randfontein to assist with resources that will help ensure we make dreams come true. Any assistance will be much appreciated,” concluded Ferguson who said she can be reached on 063 326 1231.
