Teen girl reported missing: ‘She was last seen going to school’

At the time of her disappearance, cops say the 16-year-old was wearing her school uniform which includes a grey trouser, white shirt, grey jacket and school shoes.

The Carletonville Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit has made another urgent appeal for a teenager who disappeared.

According to Bekkersdal Police spokesperson Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, 16-year-old Thato Sematlane went missing on Tuesday, September 6 this year. She was last seen while going to school.

“Sematlane left her home in the Tambo section of Bekkersdal at about 06:30 that day. She was going to school at the time but never returned,” said Sergeant Lefakane

At the time of her disappearance, Sematlane was wearing her school uniform which includes a grey trouser, white shirt, grey jacket and school shoes.
