Mayor wishes matriculants well for final exams

Executive Mayor Gladys Khoza's message to matriculants as they put pen to paper in this year's final exams.

Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) Executive Mayor Gladys Khoza wishes all matriculants well as thousands throughout the country, including those in Randfontein and Westonaria, kick started their matric exams on October 31.

This comes as they are fighting to end off their high school careers with a pass on their report cards, which will help them secure space in institutions of higher learning.

Conveying her message Mayor Gladys said she wishes all matriculants well, as they pen their papers in these final exams.

“Our country has once again arrived at this important moment where our matric class of 2022 are sitting for their final matric examinations. For the whole of this year, our matriculants have been anxiously waiting for this time of the exams where they will channel their energies towards proving the worth of their journey. I wish our matric class of 2022 the best for their exams,” said Khoza.

She further expressed her confidence in the matriculants and believes that they are more than capable in achieving good results.

“I have confidence in each and every one of you that you are ready and prepared to face this final battle and will fight with every last strength left. This is determination. I acknowledge the anxiety that comes with the final exams but with the correct strategy, make sure that you scramble to get every mark in order to get spectacular results. Keep your confidence high and make this memory count. Stay focused and inspired. Take each day as it comes and believe in a better tomorrow,” said Khoza.

Matriculants throughout the country commenced their National Senior Certificate examinations on October 31 and Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga said they are prepared for this period.

“We can confidently state that it is fully prepared to administer the November 2022 examinations based on the principles of fairness, reliability, validity and integrity.”
