West Rand Health Department hosts open day in Homelake

The Department of Health in the West Rand District, Randfontein Sub-district hosted its annual open day at NOLA in Homelake to raise awareness about the services they offer.
Randfontein SAPS together with the Randfontein Fire Department, Healing Sizabantu and the Department of Home Affairs were also present at the event and highlighted their service offering to society.
In an interview with the Herald, Keotshepile Seabo, operations manager at ML Pessen Clinic said they were interrelated with the departments that they roped in for the event.
We are working with different government departments to raise awareness and ensure that people know which services are offered by the different institutions, especially where emergency services are concerned.
“The ball usually ends with us at the clinics and hospitals when people are injured, but we need them to know where to start and that’s often with the police,” said Seabo.
The event is a requirement for the department’s ideal clinic, which is a clinic with good infrastructure, adequate medicine suppliers, general suppliers, and a clinic that utilises applicable health policies.
