LETTER: We need to protect and defend women at all costs

'May these words filter, simmer and infiltrate into the hearts, minds, thoughts and brains of all the men this Women's Month' – elder and evangelist.

• Tlhoriso Phake, elder and evangelist writes:

As the elder and Evangelist of Spirit of Christ Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Dr AN Mabaso, a medical doctor by profession, I wish to rebuke, nullify, cancel and render useless the spirit of senseless, killing, molesting, raping, murdering women and children in our society.

The book of Exodus chapter 20: God has given us his ten commandments through his servant Moses … Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. Do not covet your neighbour’s wife. Do not rape.

These gang rapes in Krugersdorp on the West Rand will result in unplanned or unwanted children, abortions, contracting HIV, aids, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) etc.

There is absolutely no need to be killing and raping innocent woman.

The book of Proverbs chapter 4 verses 8–9 says … ‘Esteem her, and she will exalt you, embrace her and she will honour you’.

Proverbs 31 verse 10: ‘Who can find a wife of noble character? She is far more precious than jewels or rubies.” Women are like chrysanthemum flowers that need to be nourished and cherished at all times. They are our destiny helpers, thus we need to protect and defend them at all costs.

The abbreviation of the word ‘woman’:

W – Worshipper and prayer warrior
O – Obedient and overseer of the household
M – Manager, mediator, mentor and motivator
A – Administrator, adviser and angel
N – Negotiator, noble and nurse

In the book of second Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14 God says … ‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land’ (South Africa). The God that we serve is the God who answers prayers. Referring to Jeremiah chapter 33 verse 3 God says … ‘In times of troubles and tribulations, call out My name and I will answer you’.

The God that we serve is called the Alpha and Omega, the Wonderful counsellor, Prince of Peace, The Rock of Ages, The High Priest, The Merciful God, The Good Shepherd, The Lion of the tribe of Judah, The Root of Jesse, The Bright Morning Star, The Ancient of Days, The Rose of Sharon, The Lily of the Valley, The Horn of Salvation and Commander-In-Chief.

May these words filter, simmer and infiltrate into the hearts, minds, thoughts and brains of all the men this Women’s Month.

Yours in Christ.
