Trucks collide head-on on N12: Two injured

A head-on crash between two trucks on the N12 on the far West Rand left two people injured.

A man and a woman were injured when two trucks collided head-on on the N12 between Potchefstroom and Fochville.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said their personnel along with provincial EMS arrived at about 14:22 to find the two wrecked trucks on the side of the road.

Debris from the trucks was spread across the roadside. Medics assessed two patients and found that a man and a woman had sustained moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

“The patients were treated and later transported to Potchefstroom Provincial Hospital for urgent care.”

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
