RandWest SPCA calls on community for a helping hand

Randwest SCPA thanked each individual and business that have already opened their hearts, but with them being a non-profit animal welfare organisation, funding and assistance are needed on a regular basis.

The RandWest SPCA is once again appealing to the community for help to keep their furry and feathered residents well looked after.

Vice chairman of the RandWest SPCA, Ansie Malan thanked each individual and business that have already opened their hearts, but with them being a non-profit animal welfare organisation, funding and assistance are needed on a regular basis.

Over the festive period and into January 2022, we have once again seen a very large number of pets surrendered to the SPCA. While surrendering an animal to the SPCA is definitely the right thing to do where sustainable options are few, this stretches our resources even further and this is where donations are needed,” explained Ansie.

They are currently in need of the following items:

• Chicken feed
• Dog food
• Cat food
• Cat sand
• Fresh fruit and vegetables for their farm animals
• Leashes
• USB sticks
• A4 paper
• Brooms

Ansie explained they still need committee members, so if you would like to apply to serve on the committee, email a two-page CV to chairperson@spcarandwest.co.za or vicehairman@spcarandwest.co.za.
