“Four adults and two children, an eight-year-old boy and a 14-year-old, were found lying around the bakkie and car,” confirmed Meiring.

Paramedics assessed the patients on scene. They found that the two children and two adults had sustained numerous injuries and were in a critical condition, while the remaining two adults had sustained minor to moderate injuries.”

He said the paramedics treated the patients, and the critically injured patients were provided with advanced life support interventions.
