Rand West City now has 1 522 confirmed cases of Covid-19

Currently, 4 624 people are being treated for the virus in public and private hospitals in the province.

As at 12 July, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 1 533, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 305 people have recovered so far.

Rand West City now has 1 422 confirmed cases of Covid-19 as the West Rand passes the 6 000 mark

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 3 395 and 1 464 cases respectively. There are 91 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 572 and 535 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 12 July is 6 483, with 62 deaths and 1 412 recoveries. There are 405 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 5 805, with 2 215 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 98 431, with 33 5141 recoveries and 644 deaths.
