Local school decries challenges

Kamogelo Primary School principal calls for urgent intervention as his school still faces numerous challenges.

Staff expressed their concern over numerous challenges Kamogelo Primary School is facing.

Kgosimang Seleke, the school principal said the lack of water and transportation resulted in parents removing their children from the school, which means the school has fewer learners compare to 2019.

Seleke said this has been an issue since the school relocated from Borwa in 2011 – a move that was inconvenient to many parents.

He added the school’s daily activities are also disrupted as children do not have bathroom facilities.

“Unfortunately, most of the learners are no longer in the school due to these challenges.

“It is really unfortunate as all the learners are in desperate need of education. We need intervention,” Seleke said.
