Mohlakeng prays against all ills ‘tearing society apart’

A three-hour prayer session against all ills that are tearing society apart was held in Mohlakeng this past weekend.

The Family of Hope organisation held a three-hour prayer session at Ace Ntsoelengoe Stadium in Mohlakeng on Saturday, 16 November.

According to Margaret Numa, coordinator of the event, the aim was to restore peace and harmony in the area, and pray against violence against women in the area.

She added that the organisation decided to visit Mohlakeng following the sporadic violence perpetrated against vulnerable women and children reported recently.

“We are a group of individuals from various parts of the West Rand and the larger Gauteng. We have embarked on a mission to teach people about who Jesus Christ is and what He stands for. We have therefore taken it upon ourselves to teach people those principles and spread a message of hope,” Margaret said.

She added that they move from one place to the next, praying against all ills that are tearing society apart.

“Coming to Randfontein today, we prayed against all the things that we have seen happening recently, for example the abuse and killing of women in Toekomsrus and Mohlakeng,” Margaret said.
