A Randfontein family was held at gunpoint by five men at their home in Greenhills on 30 at approximately 7.15pm.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, the 44-year old businessman and his family closed their shop in town and went home, when a red VW Polo pulled up behind them in their driveway.
Five men poured out of the vehicle and pointed firearms at the family and demanded cash.
They then forced the family into the house, where they took a large amount of cash.
The businessman’s daughter was also robbed of her handbag, which also contained cash.
The suspects fled from the scene taking computer equipment from the house.
“No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained during the incident,” says Ernst.
