Randfontein Police confirmed that the semi-decomposed body of 17-year-old girl had been discovered near the Mohlakeng hostel last week.
Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, confirmed that the teenager’s body was found on Tuesday, 5 November.

“At this stage we cannot confirm the cause of the victim’s death as we are still waiting for the post-mortem results. Investigations are under way,” Hendricks said.
