Local beauty makes it to Empress South Africa semifinals
Zintle Nakani, who has made her town proud by being chosen as a semifinalist for the 2019 Empress South Africa pageant, said she is counting on the community to make her dream come true.
Zintle Nakani has made her town proud, having been selected as a semifinalist in the 2020 Empress South Africa pageant.
The 25 year old, who comes from Brandvlei, is now counting on the community to make her dream come true.
Zintle, who entered the pageant for the very first time this year, said she did so because it is not based on the conventional beauty, but helps uplifts and empower women from all walks of life, something she feels strongly about.
“There are also community projects that I have been involved in. I take out time to voluntarily look after children at day care centres and also help local school children with their homework,” Zintle said. Part of what she wants to do is to encourage and teach women in society to accept who they are. “It does not matter what complexion or body shape you have – what is important is loving and embracing who you are,” Zintle said.
She said the public can vote for her by SMSing Zintle Nakani to 35334, so that she stands a chance to be crowned at the finals on Monday, 16 December, at the Suncoast Barnyard Theatre in Durban.
