Vehicle rolls: Five injured

Five people were injured when the vehicle they were traveling in rolled several times on the R54 near Fochville on the far West Rand yesterday morning (Tuesday, 20 August).

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said they arrived on scene at about 7.40am to find a light motor vehicle lying on its side on the side of the road.

“Three men and two women were found seated outside the vehicle. Medics assessed the patients and found that all five had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were evident.

“The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to hospital for further care.”

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
