Families have fun at the Oval

Families in Randfontein really enjoyed themselves at the Family Fun Day at the Oval Raceway on Saturday 13 July.

According to Marilize Coetzee, promoter of the Oval Raceway, many people came from far and wide to enjoy activities such as helicopter rides, watching remote-controlled race cars in action, cars on display for the show-and-shine competition, sound-offs and spinning for which the winners were awarded trophies.

Marilize explained that the purpose of the event was to bring entertainment to families and car enthusiasts to enjoy, and attract new adventurers in and out of town.

“We also had a few stalls where some local business owners came to promote their products during the day.

“The event was great and we would like to thank the community and families who came out to support our Fun Day. We are also considering hosting another Fun Day soon that the community can look forward to,” Marilize added.
