A family living in Finsbury is in shock after finding that their dog had sustained multiple injuries after she was allegedly attacked by a neighbour on Sunday, 14 July.

Thloriso Phake, owner of the four-year-old dog, said she had since been admitted to a veterinary clinic.

He said he was horrified to arrive home and find his dog weak from injuries from the alleged attack.

The dog’s owner said she had sustained injuries all over her body during the attack.

“When we asked what happened, we were told that our neighbour had been kicking her and using objects to hit her,” Phake said.

Phake said the dog sustained injuries to her head, and under her front right leg, and some parts of her body had what looked like stab wounds.

“You can see that this was nothing but a really severe act of brutality towards my dog. The vet quickly admitted the dog and said her injuries would have to be stitched. She will be released as soon as her health improves,” Phake added.
